Tommy Brock greets Mr. TodVillains at war!

One of Potter's most sophisticated stories features two "disagreeable people"--Mr. Tod (a fox) and Tommy Brock (a badger)--pitted against each other. Also featured are none other than Peter Rabbit and Benjamin Bunny!

Benjamin's babies have been stolen by Tommy Brock. Benjamin and Peter play detective to track them to Mr. Tod's house, where Tommy Brock has been squatting while Mr. Tod is away. Peter and Benjamin try to dig their way in but find themselves trapped in their tunnel when Mr. Tod returns home.

Fortunately, the two villains don't much like each other! As the story builds to an epic showdown between the two distrusted carnivores, Benjamin and Peter steal in to take the baby bunnies back.

This is the longest of Beatrix Potter's books that we carry, with much more text than is typical, but with more illustrations as well! A challenging read, but well worth the trouble.
